Do you get an Invalid Page Fault every time you exit the Control Panel? If you do, it may be because on of your *.cpl files has become corrupt. To fix this, do a search using find on the Start Menu. For the search directory, look in C:\Windows\System (change this if your Windows\System directory is in a different location. For the file name, enter *.cpl. Double click each of the files that gets returned by the search. This will open the file using control.exe, the Control Panel. Open and close each file until you find the one that is causing the error. Move the file out of the \Windows\System folder. If you can determine what put the file there, try reinstalling that piece of software. If it is one of the Windows operating system files, use the extract command to extract a new copy from your cab files. See my page on using the extract command for more info.
